This wonderfully soft Rambouillet top has been dyed in shades of blue called Wedgewood using a Fibonacci sequence. It starts with the shortest portion being a very pale blue and sequences to longer and darker shades.

It is so soft and squishy and truly a pleasure to spin.

Rambouillet (also known as French merino), is the largest of the fine wool breeds. It's fiber is plump and has a springy crimp. Micron count ranges between 19-23 with a 2-4" staple. It has low luster and is suitable for next-to-skin wear.

While researching this fiber the following descriptions often appeared:
bouncy wool
good elasticity
lofty
strong crimp

Rambouillet is also known for its' exceptional felting qualities. Would be fabulous for a wet felting project.

Care should be taken in washing: wash in cool water and lay flat to dry.
