More from the collection of a petite blonde bombshell who purchased these in the early 1950s from the exclusive / high end shoe salon of Henry Waters in Portland, Oregon - wore & enjoyed them - then tucked them away in a plastic shoe box for over 50 years.

There are no hair folicles or pores in the sections of the hide, so I believe they are gator (that's what the typed label on the plastic box says too). Deep, rich chocolate brown - insoles are marked "Henry Waters Shoes of Consequence".

Their prior owner was one of Mr. Waters' favorite clients. Even after she moved to Washington, D.C. in the early 50s, he courted her business sending her boxes of shoes to try on (and of course BUY!). This is just one of many pairs of gorgeous vintage shoes from her collection... others will wait until fall to make their debut.

~ footwear as artwork indeed & perfect for display if they don't fit you!

Date - vintage 1950s
Label - Henry Waters Shoes of Consequence
Size - (vintage) 5 1/2N
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
MEASUREMENTS:

~ LENGTH ~ 8" from back of heel to toe tip when measured flat against a wall or 9" from toe tip & flat along the insole to the very back edge of heel using a flexible measuring tape.

~ WIDTH ~ 3" @ ball of foot & 2" across inside of heel

~ HEIGHT ~ Heels are 4" high

CONDITION: The foam 'pad' under the insole lining in the ball area of the shoes is crunchy, but the insole is sound so no cosmetic affect there - There is however some slight wrinkling to the insole right where the big toe would rub but the insole is NOT LOOSE.

Heel & face surfaces are clean and free of scratches, scuffs or noticeable wear, but I'd recommend an application of leather restorer or oil to being the luster of the hide to its full original glory.

Light wear to the leather soles & heel tabs. Slingback buckles and straps are in fine working order. Despite once being worn to nightclubs and cocktail paties, they are clean; have no odors, and are from a smoke-free home.

SHIPPING: Is via USPS priority mail to US buyers and via USPS 1st class international mail to my cherished customers abroad.

I ship promptly and carefully to ensure your treasures arrive quickly and safely.

Please convo any questions & stay tuned for more dazzling vintage heels and purses from this collection!
