Under the sea..

This beautiful antique figure is part of my series of upcycled bisque dolls. Made in the 1930's by a Japanese company, each girl is a wonderfully unique, one-of-a-kind piece. They have articulating arms, a thin coat of resin to protect the paint and they each wear a promise ring on their left hand.. Promising to always love you.

Ariel is standing at the bottom of the sea, admiring all of the gadgets and gizmos aplenty that she has collected! Ariel, made of bisque ceramic, has freshly painted features and Swarovski crystals adornments that sparkle and shimmer. She's securely attached to a wooden base along with her glitter seashells, sand and treasures.

When found, Ariel was dirty and long forgotten about. Once loved by children years ago, many of the dolls have lost their luster. The fifth photo is an example of what the bisque dolls look like before I transform them. Now she's ready to lead a life full of whozits and whatzits galore with someone who'll love her!

Ariel measures 6.5" tall.. The base measures 5" in diameter x 1" high.

**Each doll is a one of a kind piece of art. Although little girls would love Ariel, she has the heart of a child and is very fragile.**
