Hesperia's Daughter I

In Greek mythology, the Hesperides were nymphs, guardians of the twilight and that magical hour at sunset where the entire world seems bathed in golden light. Though rarely referred to by name, Hesperia was one of the nymphs named as a ‘daughter of the evening.’

The particular piece of labradorite in this pendant reminded me so of the Hesperides because it both flashes an enchanting amber as well as the lovely blue-purple of twilight. I have set it in a swirling bezel of sterling silver, fit for any true daughter of the twilight hours.

This pendant measures 2 ½” and hangs suspended from an 18" sterling silver chain.
