This is the ultimate wooden spatula for mixing and stirring. I call it Spatulus Maximus. This one is definitely made for a left handed cook. The Cherry wood is taken from the outside of the log where the sap wood and darker heart wood meet and I really like the way they play out along the curve of the blade on this one. I would like to see this one in a few years when it has darkened as Cherry wood does with use. The contrast will be striking. The curve makes this tool excel at scraping the sides and bottoms of bowls and helps in mixing and stirring. This is an excellent spatula for stirring mushrooms or vegetables wile sauteing. The sharpened and flattened end is good for cutting up ground meat while you are browning. I have made many different spatulas over the last 10 years, trying to get the shape and size just right and I think I have finally gotten it. There is nothing I would want to change about it. Again this is made for Left handed cooks. If there is not a right handed one listed I will be happy to make one for you. Finished with pure mineral oil and beeswax.

Care is easy, just wash in hot soapy water, towel dry, and apply some mineral oil or walnut oil every couple of weeks or you can buy some of our spoon oil finish which is Beeswax and mineral oil. A 4 oz. jar lasts for a long time and it will help to keep your spatula looking and feeling good for many years.
