The moon is 81 times less massive than the earth, and that's just how I like it. I also like this new drawing of the moon that I recently showed off at my gallery show (The Framed Gallery, Edinburgh).

This is a drawing, made with this drawing machine that I've built (have a look at www.polargraph.co.uk for information about it) - It isn't a print or a copy, this was drawn in one single line with black pigmented ink onto acid free archival quality paper, over five hours. This particular drawing is all about the machine: It's coarsely drawn with a thick pen, so the beauty of the process is displayed brazenly!

This is one of my favourites for that reason - the image itself, the moon is coarsely rendered, it's almost vestigial, it's reduced to an abstract pattern, but the drawing itself is detailed. This drawing revels in the artefacts and foibles of the process - the jagged edges and the slight inconsistencies that make it personal, and not just "computer art".

This is square, 50x50cm (19.6 inches), and fits perfectly into an IKEA frame (that's what's in the pictures), but would also look great matted and in a larger frame, it's certainly punchy enough.

I also have MARS (in red) and EARTH (in blue) as part of the solar system series. This is 1/50.

I'll ship this rolled in tissue in a sturdy packing tube, to wherever you are. It'll uncurl itself after a day or two of being left flat.
