Kid mohair reclaimed from a discarded sweater and a yarn created from recycled sari silk have been intermingled and knit in an organic jumble. Crystal beads are scattered about to provide a subtle sparkle as they catch the light. Can be worn with the drop to the front or back. The piece will retain its' primary shape but the contours will subtly shift each time it is worn. Closes with a leaf and twig toggle clasp.

60% upcycled materials (crystals and clasp are new)

length: 23 inches (58.42cm)
width: 3 inches at widest (7.62cm)
drop: 4 inches (10.16cm)

"unravelled" collection
As is true for many of my collections, it was the materials that inspired this line. Over the years I have rescued many beautiful but damaged knit items that were starting to unravel at the edges and began to take on a life of their own - primordial, raw and fluid.

I unravelled and harvested the yarn from the damaged areas and adapted Debbie News "scribble knitting" technique to achieve the same organic feel. Now, these little orphaned handfuls of yarn are integrated together in unrefined forms and married with salvaged laces, chiffons, tulle, beads and other cast-off fabrics and ephemera to create unique soft textured statement jewelry
