Do you know what this radio meant to someone? Wow. Back in 1947, before TV, you would have heard "The Abbot and Costello show", "Buck Rogers and the 25th Century" (which went off the air in 1947 after a long run), "The Jim Backus Show" (he went on to be the dad in Rebel Without a Cause & then Mr. Howell on Gilligan's Island), "The Rudy Vallee Show" had run on radio from 1929 until 1947, and more. Radio...theater of the mind. And Music?! Nat King Cole, Tommy Dorsey and his Orchestra and the Harmonicats were HUGE! (Goggle them....what can I say? My mother liked the Harmonicats).

-1947 Airline 64BR-1205
-Original Shipping box
-Original support paper work, bill of sale and shipping labels.
-Looks immaculate inside.
-CAN BE CLEANED outside as well.

This little beauty needs a bath. Bakelite and years of sitting. Someone started to clean it but obviously stopped. (I do not clean stuff....typically).

I used to have a massive collection of radios. Massive. The last time I saw them was 16 or 17 years ago. (They walked out the door with an ex but I don't want to get all hillbilly on ya).

This radio is from 1947 or so. It was a Montgomery Wards deal. It comes to you in the original shipping box with railway label and more. The box is beat a bit. Has some damage but also still has the integrity to hold the radio.

The radio is nice. The dial still turns. The face is a bit rippled and there are some dead ants in their. (Probably lost their lives back in the 50's...who knows). All can be easily corrected even by an amateur collector.

Here is the big part; this thing is very clean in the back. It doesn't look used at all. The tubes are great.

There is paperwork on this item still in the original folder. It has the bill of sale and the warranty info along with other support material/ephemera.

Does it work? Don't know. This is a battery powered model and I have no idea how to make it light up.

Is it cool? Oh ya... Someone probably got this as a gift and used it very little if at all. But, they were probably looking forward to getting it.

If the shipping is less than $20 to the USA or Canada I will refund the difference. If it's more...I eat the cost.

I will ship anywhere in the world. Please ask for shipping costs to your country.
