This white stoneware yarn bowl has been handthrown and the image of a green-eyed orange Calico cat pushed out from inside to form a high relief image. The yarn feeds out of the cat's mouth for a permanent feed but there is a tail-like cut out in the back of the bowl if you want to change yarns out. Cats are usually the reason that people use yarn bowls so it's a little ironic, though appropriate, that a cat should be the main feature of one. I've made a few of these kitties so please take a look at my other yarn bowls:

This bowl measures 3-1/2" high by 5-1/4" wide and is signed on the bottom along with the words "Knitty Kitty". The hand painted ginger tabby cat and the purple floral background has been painted with underglazes and fired twice up to 2167 degrees in a ceramic kiln.
