Why are quills always adorned with feathers? I don't know either and that makes this pen all the more special. It's a marriage of objects worthy of Rene Magritte. A standard dip pen handle has been securely merged with the fat stem of a lush red rose, which was then tightly wrapped with thick, chocolate-toned satin ribbon.
And because the handle is a standard type for dip pens, the quill can be easily removed for cleaning or replacing. I draw with one of these myself and even use one to write my thank you's to buyers, so I can say with authority that the balance is good and shouldn't prove unwieldy to write with. One brand new metal quill comes included with the pen. From the rose to the base of the pen is about 11 inches and the bloom is about 3 inches across.

This quill will specifically hold Speedball type A, B, C, D pen points and brushes. It also holds Hunt #22B, 56, 99, 101, 512 and 513EF pen points.

Shipping will be in a generous sized box so it isn't crushed.
