Old, old vintage canning jar, a quart size Atlas E-Z Seal with the dropped A logo. Dates from the 1920s, possibly a bit earlier. Aqua blue glass with bubbles and tons of character. Twisted wire bail and lightning jar closure. From the cellar of a woman who canned everything from venison to award-winning strawberry jam. She was the canning queen of the county.

Number 4 is embossed on base. Jar has longer neck and old-style sloping shoulder. Great storage for kitchen, home, office, or perfect for display. Like so many of these wonderful old jars, this one has imperfections: rust on the glass from the wire bail, texture and bubbles on the glass. If you'd prefer a cleaner look, just clip off the bail, or toothbrush the glass carefully.

About 8" h x 3.5" w x 3.5" d

Very good condition, no chips, lips is clean and smooth. Has a clear glass lid, which is not original to the jar, but was coupled with it long ago.

vintage 1920s ATLAS E-Z Seal canning jar. Aqua blue. Dropped A.
