I tried growing sunflowers in my garden this year. They came out beautifully, but most of the seeds were empty. This one was marked for painting, but spent a little too long on the table. I still thought it was beautiful, even fully dried out, and decided to paint it. This painting feels like fall, and almost smells of dried sunflowers. If you've ever grown your own, you'll know what I mean.
