Frances II offers a little less flounce than the original Frances Skirt. Its still an A-line shape, but slimmer through the hips for a straighter silhouette. This is a great look if you are a little less curvy and don’t want the swing-i-ness of my original design. If you are a curvy, hourglass-figured gal, check out my original Frances Skirt listings for the best fit.

Both Frances styles are made from vintage double knit polyester fabric. I scour thrift stores, tag sales, auctions and Etsy to find unique patterns and designs. That same double knit that was made into the hideous pant suits of the 60’s and 70’s is now reborn as a rad, eco-friendly and versatile wardrobe staple! It offers flattering stretch that doesn’t get looser like cotton knit can; and, its wrinkle and stain resistant and great for all seasons-my favorite is a Frances with a tank and sandals in the summer. My sister likes hers with tights and boots in the winter.

This lovely skirt is made from a subtle print of cornflower blue, tan and grey. Contrasting grey/tan polka dot waistband. Skirt is size SMALL. Specific measurements for this skirt are as follows:

• From waist to hem is 21.5 inches (hemming free upon request)
• Flat waist measurement is 15 inches
• Flat hip measurement is 16 inches
• Skirts are sized to fit just below the natural waist-an inch or so below the belly button on most

All rescued & rediscovered fabrics have been laundered. Seams are serged and finished in a professional manner. Double knit is durable and easy to care for. Wash on warm with like colors and dry on low. If removed from the dryer promptly no ironing should be required. If wrinkled, iron on low setting. (Avoid washing double knit with clothing that has hooks or velcro– hooks can snag some of the fabrics or stitching and velcro can stick and cause fuzzies and pilling on your skirt – I learned this lesson the hard way.)

Please convo with any questions or for custom listing requests!
