This is a 13 inch long rustic spoon of salvaged Mesquite wood. There isn't a straight line on this one. Made in my favorite way, by cutting in from the outside of the log to make the bowl and then working with the shape of the wood to determine the shape. There are some worm holes in the handle which add to the primitive/rustic. look of the spoon. This piece of wood wanted to be a left handed spoon. The bowl is nice and deep and 2 7/8 inches wide. One of the best I have made in a while. Again, this spoon is left handed . If you would like to see pictures of this spoon being made I have posted it on my Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/KitchenCarvings-on-Etsycom/216160631737775

Finished with beeswax and mineral oil finish.

Care is easy, just wash in hot soapy water, towel dry, and apply some mineral oil or walnut oil every couple of weeks or you can buy some of our spoon oil finish which is Beeswax and mineral oil. A 4 oz. jar lasts for a long time and it will help to keep your spoon looking and feeling good for many years.
