Lovely old coffee cream jug from a very fancy hotel called "De Veluwe" in Lunteren in The Netherlands. My mother and I bought this jug when I was 10 years old (45 years ago) at an auction when this chic hotel had gone. The heydays of this area must have been in the 1920's, when the rich people from the big cities like Amsterdam, The hague and Rotterdam came there for a few weeks in the summer to holiday. Hotel "De Veluwe" had a very rich clientele and my mother was very keen to buy some parts of its history.
This jug bears an emblem with the monogram PR, which stands for P. Rutgers, the last owner of the hotel. This emblem also shows the text "Hotel-Pension De Veluwe". A pension in Dutch is a place where people lived longtime with full board and lodging, something only very rich people could afford. "De Veluwe" is the name of the woodland area around Lunteren.
The jug was made by Mosa Maastricht, a famous Royal Ceramic Company in the south of The Netherlands.

Size: 5 x 5.5 x 7 cm (2 x 2.2 x 2.8")

All items come from my own vintage collection; because of space shortage, I sell parts of it here on Etsy.

Payment can be done by Paypal and within the EU also by direct bank transfer. Details on request.
