Lovely 1900s antique Edwardian Victorian white cotton lace and embroidered tea gown. Dress is sheer lightweight white cotton voile with embroidery. The dress is a shirtwaist style and has a sailor style collar with a modesty insert in the front.
Long sleeves, lace at the bottom of the cuffs, and there is just a tiny bit of give to the elastic at the cuffs (easily replaced).
The embroidery has flowers with openwork centers to the flowers.
The dress is clean, sturdy and ready to wear in excellent vintage condition. I see one pinhole in the back in the collar (very hard to see).
The skirt buttons in the front with metal snaps and hook and eye closures.
It also has a beautiful ruffle at the bottom of the skirt that is 12" wide with the same embroidered flowers along the bottom.
Measurements--laid flat
from armpit to armpit--20" (there is some adjustment here because of the shirtwaist style)
waist- 14"
shoulder to middle of waist- 16"
hips- 20-1/2"
length from shoulder to bottom of hem-- 51"
Sleeve Length- 18"
Sleeve Width at bicep-- 7"
