This handmade ceramic lidded jar for storing honey, sugar, salt, tea, etc. is both a work of art and a functional piece of gorgeous pottery. It's a perfect size for storing pet treats, coffee beans, spices, jam, chutney, cotton balls, jewelry or other stash and features a ceramic magpie - a member of the crow or raven family on the exterior design. It comes with your choice of a small handmade spoon for scooping out your treats or spices or a honey dipper.

I made this storage jar on my pottery wheel out of stoneware clay and designed the exterior with pottery glazes featuring a bird among some wildflowers. The rim is very decorative with a pretty cut out design that the lid fits down inside. I hand built the little spoon that is included with this lidded jar as well as the matching knob on the end of the honey stick. The knob on the lid is an adorable ceramic caterpillar -- sure to make you smile.

The jar will hold 16 ounces of honey, sugar, salt and is 5" high x 5" across.

It's very durable and may be cleaned in your dishwasher - although I would hand wash the lid since the knob is fragile.

This listing is for the exact canister shown in the first 5 photos above.

This seller usually responds within a few hours.

If I feel I can make something custom for you in a style, design and glaze that I have tested and perfected, I'm happy to consider custom and personalized orders. Please know that there is generally an added charge for this and it may take six weeks or more to complete.
Because all of my pottery is made one at a time, there will be variations in size, even when you purchase a set of two or more pieces. Generally these are maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch in difference and a couple ounces in volume at times.
I use a very durable stoneware clay for my pottery, making it able to withstand continued, everyday use. Unless stated otherwise in the description, you can use my pottery in your oven, microwave and dishwasher.
It is very difficult to gift wrap your pottery since I need to make sure it has lots of bubblewrap and peanuts surrounding it so it arrives intact. However, I am very happy to tie a ribbon around the packing material and to include a hand written card with a message from you inside the box. Just leave me the wording in your Note to Seller at check out.
I do sell my work wholesale to gift shops and galleries. Please contact me for minimum order and pricing information. My phone is: 970-846-9349 and my email is deb@blueskypottery.com

I also have a watercolor shop here on etsy and would love to be represented by a gallery for that work. You can see it at: BlueSkyFineArt.etsy.com
