This vintage 1940s Rodale gooseneck desk lamp is another fine example of the great design and manufacturing from the 1930s to 1940s industrial age. Combining beauty, functionality and versatility, with old fashioned durability, this lamp really epitomizes the best of that time period.

The classic Art Deco cast iron base measures 6 inches by 4 1/2 inches. The metal shade measures approx. 6 inches across. When fully extended, this lamp is almost. 20 inches tall from bottom of base to top of shade.

This lamp is in very good vintage condition, with only normal wear and tear for an item of its age . I have replaced the non-functioning switch with a new, but similar type of switch. The base and shade have been repainted a rich chocolatety brown, really enhancing the textures of this wonderful lamp.. The photographs are the best indication of the beauty and overall condition of this wonderful lamp.

If you are looking for a classic piece of 1940s style, you've found it right here with this beautiful gooseneck lamp. And best of all, these gooseneck lamps won't become obsolete when the old-school light bulbs are phased out. These lamps work just as well (and run a lot cooler) with the new CFL bulbs. So whether you have a secret supply of the old incandescent bulbs,or .have made the switch to the new CFLs, this lamp is ready to shine its light for many years to come.

(Bulbs not included!)
