Print reproduction of Cheret Jules poster La Loïe Fuller created in 1897.

To see more of beautiful Art Nouveau movement posters in our shop, please follow this link -

Jules Chéret was a master of Belle Époque(Beautiful Era) poster art. Belle Époque was a period in European social history that began during the late 19th century and lasted until World War I. And it was created for „Olympia” the music hall located at Boulevard des Capucines in Paris. It was founded in 1888, by Joseph Oller, the creator of the „Moulin Rouge”.

The new advertising and poster art of the 1890s often deployed women as enticing or allegorical figures. This exuberant image of the American dancer Loie Fuller captures the spirit of sensuality and excitement in the cabaret culture of fin-de-siècle Paris. Fuller was an important attraction at the 1900 Paris world’s fair, embodying Art Nouveau with her innovative choreography and diaphanous silk costumes illuminated by multicolored electric lights.
