Beaded wildlife! Handmade by women artisans in Samburu, Kenya as part of their efforts to become independent. Proceeds are divided between supporting women artisans and a scholarship program for Samburu youth. Overall, all proceeds go back to the community as income to women, or scholarships. I love it! I collect hand made baskets and this is a beauty! What a wonderful addition to my collection! I have been looking for something just like this to hold my favorite earrings. This little beauty is beaded and wired together. The lid is well fitted and fits securely. If it was to land on its side it would not spill its content. Mine is about 4 and ½ inches tall without the leaves that make it about 6 inches tall overall. It is about 6 inches across at it widest part of the bowl. What a find!!!
