During and following WWII, a new era of patriotic jewelry emerged. Lady Liberty, the American flag and the American Eagle were the most popular symbols made to remind the nation of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941 Thousands of pins, necklaces, bracelets, charms, lockets and other jewelry were made during World War. Trifari is known for many of the most collectible pieces made. This one, in my opinion is either an unsigned Trifari or an unsigned beauty. The quality in this piece is beyond the average pieces. It is dimensional, has loads of stones and also has the enameled red stars at the bottom. The brooch is Rhodium plated pot metal and is heavy and all original. It measures 2 1/2" x 2 1/2". A fine quality piece that can be worn today with american pride in our soldiers overseas.
