Our African black soap shampoos do not contain any castile soap, glycerin, panthenol (or other preservatives),sulfur, fragrance oils, or any other nasty stuff that you will commonly find in other black soap shampoos on the net. Do not be fooled by sellers that call their shampoos things like “pure” and “all natural” when in fact some of these ingredients are far from the scope of natural. You will find nothing in our black soap shampoo except Authentic African black soap, water, and essential oils. When you purchase our products you can rest assured that you are getting a very pure and natural product. I take a lot of pride in bringing the very best ALL NATURAL products to my customers.

Shipping policies

Domestic shipping is done by either first class or priority USPS. All packages have tracking info and delivery confirmation! We Ship all orders placed before 5pm mon-fri the next day, orders placed after 5pm will ship the 2nd day. Orders placed after 5pm fri- 5pm Sunday will ship Monday morning. If you have not received your package within 7 business days and you are located in the USA please let us know so that we can help you locate it!
RETURNED PACKAGES(returned to sender): if your package is returned to us by USPS (marked undeliverable) for any reason, we will make an attempt to contact you to confirm the address and reship the package. In most domestic cases we are willing to reship the package at 50% of the original shipping cost. We will send you a bill via paypal for the reduced shipping charge :)
If the reason the package was returned to us is due to no fault of our own and you do not wish to pay the reduced shipping charge to reship the package we will treat it as a buyer initiated return and issue a refund in accordance with our return policy outlined below in the "returns and exchanges" section.
We cannot be held responsible for packages once they leave our hands but most of our packages are insured through USPS. Should your package become lost or damaged we will be glad to assist you in filing an insurance claim with USPS or we can even file on your behalf if you like.

What to do in the event that your package has been marked delivered by USPS but you have not received it. I know it seems obvious but look around on your patio, under and behind any furniture if its too big to fit in your mailbox your carrier may not want to leave it out in the open where anyone can pick it up. Ask your neighbors if any of them have received your package by mistake, this happens quite a lot and your neighbors probably are not in any rush to bring it to you or put it back out for the carrier. Ask your carrier if they recall leaving a package at perhaps the wrong house or in the wrong mailbox. If you live in an apartment building check the area where large parcels are left that do not fit in those tiny mailboxes, check the management or main office. If you have checked all of these and you still haven't located your package the next step is filing a complaint with USPS. You can file a complaint here on the USPS website. When you submit your complaint you will be given a confirmation number please write it down, save it or take a screenshot we will need this information or a copy of the confirmation from you to assist with your complaint and to file a claim if it becomes necessary. Contact us and send us the confirmation number or copy of the confirmation from your complaint. We will also file a complaint and need to be able to associate it with yours. If this still hasn't gotten us anywhere sadly we will need to proceed with an insurance claim. We will gladly take care of this part for you. I know this seems like a big hassle but i hope you can understand that we are not USPS and we cant be responsible for their mistakes this is why we insure packages. We are happy to help with all this hassle and we absolutely will help obtain a solution to the problem but it will require a bit of work on your part especially when the problem is USPS says they delivered it but you haven't received it. That means we did our part, we sent the package, it wasn't lost in transit, the carrier either left it at the wrong place or someone stole it from the right place and believe it or not there are dishonest people in this world who cannot resist getting something for nothing. Please understand that none of this is our fault just as it is not yours and we want to help you but we also must protect ourselves and our business.

Q) The item i want is out of stock when will you have more?
A) I try to keep up with listings daily and i usually relist them after 8pm (est). If i miss something during the week I always go over our stock on sundays and relist items so always check back sunday after 8pm, if ive missed anything i will likely catch it on sunday. If the item your looking for hasnt been relisted on sunday it means we really are out of it and i am working to make more :)

Q) WOAH!! why is international shipping so expensive? I order items from the US all the time and shipping costs waaaaay less than what youre trying to charge me!!
A) ok lets take a deep cleansing breath, in through the nose, out through the mouth :) its likely the cheaper rate your charged by other US sellers is a first class postage rate. First class postage is notoriously unreliable and can take literally months to get to the customer. Thats just not how i roll. Most of our items are too heavy to fit into the first class rate and they are bottles of liquid!! we want them to get to you as safely and as quickly as possible and first class postage just wont cut it. The priority postage rates that we charge you are what we pay for postage so as much as id like to i simply cannot charge you the customer any less than what i actually pay. trust me i feel your pain, i realize USPS is charging outlandish rates and they jack it up each and every year! in 2013 the rates increased buy 70% in some cases!! The point is I know its terrible and it hurts us as much if not more than it hurts you, theres just not a thing i can do about it other than promise you that its totally worth the shipping rates :)

Q) My (insert random group or organization here) is having a fundraiser, raffle, etc can you donate to our cause?
A) Rest assured we give to plenty of charitable causes and as much as i wish i could help everyone who asks im just not in a position to do so :(

Q) I have a YouTube channel with 7 billion subscribers, can you send me samples of your products for me to review for my audience?
A) These days everyone has a YouTube channel and while im sure yours is the best ;) i get so many requests for this kind of thing that i would have been out of business ages ago had i sent everyone who asked free products. That being said if you choose to buy products feel free to review them all you like anywhere you choose :) you even have my advance permission to use photos of the products you choose to review. i may even hook you up with a coupon code for your viewers or subscribers if you have lovely things to say about our products ;)

Q) "Can your shampoo be used on hair that is not dreadlocked?” or "Im not african. can i use this shampoo?"
A) Absolutely! Our shampoos were formulated to be compatible with all hair types. And Im not african either, im irish and from pennsylvania lol

Q) “Do any of your dreadlock products contain wax”
A) absolutely NOT!

Q) im planning on placing a one million dollar order. could you possibly send me samples of nearly everything you have?
A) Im planning on owning a garage full of vintage European sports cars after my retirement could you send me samples of all of them?

Q) would you be willing to trade?
A) i seldom do trades simply because hemp jewelry doesnt pay my mortgage lol however there are a few items im almost always up for trading for : Yarn, Fiber, roving, cosmetics, and clothing.

Q) “I have liked your page on facebook but I don’t see any coupon codes can you please send them to me?”
A) like most businesses we announce sales on facebook and twitter and post limited time offers and codes on facebook, if you want to find those discounts when they are announced please subscribe to our news feed and check the page frequently. I am a ONE woman show here, making, packaging, labeling, and shipping, I really cannot be expected to message everyone the sale codes when they are posted.

Q ) "can I get a sample of your products ?"
A) We do not have samples our 4oz shampoos were actually meant as a trial or travel size product.

Q) "Can you make this scent that I don't see in your shop ?"
A) If it is an essential oil chances are I could, it may take a bit for me to order it but if it's something you really want I'd be willing to try. Please keep in mind some essential oils are very expensive and could potentially result in a higher price.

Q) "I need my order fast! How long does it take to ship?” or "I need my order by such and such a date."
A) I do my best to ship all orders within about 24 hours of purchase with the exception of weekend orders which ship on mon and holiday orders which will ship the next available business day. It usually takes anywhere from 2-7 business days for delivery, all packages are shipped with tracking you should receive a notification from etsy and or pay pal with your number if you don't you can always look under your "purchases" in your etsy acct or just message me and I'll get it for you. If you need it faster than that you can CONVO me for an express order please be aware shipping will be between $30 and $60. During November and December USPS can be delayed if this concerns you please CONVO me and we can figure your best shipping option to ensure holiday delivery. If you need it by a particular date that is sooner than the above estimated shipping and delivery time please request a faster shipping method, once it leaves me i cannot make it get there faster nor can i guarantee its arrival or arrival time.
