A novelty item I bought in the late 70's or early 80's, and sure to be a conversation piece in your home.

When closed, this ceramic box looks like a stack of white dishes, with three juicy strawberries on the top plate.

But take hold of the berries and lift the lid, and you've got a hiding place for keys, jewelry, paperclips, candy, whatever.

This box is 6.5 inches in diameter. When closed, the stack of dishes is 3.5 inches tall. The strawberries add another inch.

On the bottom is an original paper label "made in Japan" and indentations that look to me like "til" but might be something else.

No chips, no cracks. Here and there you'll find a few small dimples or bumps, and even a VERY tiny black spot or two, but all of them are in the original firing of the glaze. In addition, each strawberry has a very tiny hole put there during construction so that the berries wouldn't explode during the ceramic firing.

The stated shipping is for the "lower 48." Please contact me for any additional shipping to Alaska or Hawaii.
