I call this a "berry bowl".

The two separate pieces make for easy cleaning and storage. There are plenty of holes for drainage and vent slots in the foot for drainage when it sits on the plate.

But don't let the name stop you from using it for anything that comes to mind - fruit, pasta etc.

This piece is thrown and trimmed on a wheel. Holes are punched through the clay at the proper stage in drying. When the piece is completely dry, it is "scrubbed" to smooth out any rough spots.

The colander is about 7-1/2" diameter and 3-5/8 deep. The plate is about 5-1/2" diameter.

The fern green glaze is a textured fake ash glaze that drips nicely over the cinnamon brown glaze, with a little bit of blue added for a nice effect. This color pattern goes well with most decors.

This is a repetitive item and the picture is representative of the glaze, Each one is slightly different, but that's what makes them special.
