Description

Black, White and Red Viruses is an original painting of four types of viruses, including smallpox, bacteriophage, adenovirus and ebola. All in wet-in-wet watercolor in a range of soft shades of black, white and gray, with deep red accents. Perfect for your lab, office, kitchen or any space that needs some geek-friendly art.

This painting was made using a wet-in-wet technique. After I draw a grid on the paper, I paint an individual square, wait a few seconds, and then add a second color of wet paint. The paint “bleeds” naturally, creating either awesome natural fractal patterns or a big old blob. If the former occurs, I wait a few more seconds and add another color. Then I do this a bunch more times in different colors. Scientific accuracy is not guaranteed.

Overall size 8 x 10 inches, including white mat and backing board. Standard size for easy framing! Signed.

I bought two of these lovely ties to match almost all dress clothes my husband wears. They look great on him.

My husband, the neuroscientist, is no fan of ties. But he really enjoys wearing these two.
