These earrings are the epitome of ancestral Creation - the Life Spiral inside the copper womb. The two metals fit together, one inside the other, like a new Life growing inside the Earth Mother. If you turn these earrings upside down, they look like Hips the Framework that supports the Womb of all Life. And the size - oh how I am drawn to the size! Women's hops are to be large and spacious - therein grows the body for the Divinely Gifted Soul. The size is luscious - so sensual. I love these - they are like melted chocolate on a ripe strawberry. For these exiting big statement hoops, I used a combination of copper, nugold, and sterling silver. By using the craftsmanship of forging and annealing in the ancient way plus some patina, a magical, organic look has been archived.
You may just imagine those earrings have been found in a hidden treasure chest from a land of mystic secrets and ancient knowledge.
Even so big these earrings, with 8.4 grams are medium-lightweight and comfy to wear.
The ear wire is antiqued 18 gauge sterling silver just a bit thicker than standard 20 gauge and are for those accustomed to wearing earrings. If you have very small piercings I am happy to exchange them for a finer wire please note that the finer wire will not be as resistant to pressure therefore open carefully. I do now offer also 18 or 20 gauge hypoallergenic titanium ear wire in a mat gray hue.

Since these hoops are made to reorder results of the annealing and forging are not always the same, colors and shapes may change slightly, but the final result is always beautiful and unique. I will respect the method and measures you see on the photo and I will make it with the same care and dedication. For this reason, any difference with the photo is a happy touch of the handmade job.
