♥ Beautiful, one-of-a-kind rustic Mexican batea (carved wood dough bowl) - with original hand-painted Folk Art scene. Painted by renowned Master Folk Artist, Filemon Ramos in the small town of Dolores Hidalgo, just outside of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico (early-mid 1900's)

♥ The scene appears to be a ranch-setting, with a black horse, saguaro cactus and small red-shingled. Beautiful detail and rich, darker tones.

♥ The batea measures 20.5" l x 8.75"w x 3.25" h and weighs ~ 3 lbs. There are subtle nicks/scratches which add to the vintage patina. Ideal for rustic-vintage decoration.

♥ This is truly a remarkable piece that is actually worth more than the reflected price.
