I am a big fan of emeralds...maybe because it's my birthstone or maybe because I love shades of green...in any case I chose this beautiful ring fror my shop because of the high quality of the materials, the great design and the wonderful color of the emeralds. I do want to note up front that two of the emeralds are chipped. I still think it's a beautiful ring and the stone that has a larger chip could always be replaced....because of the weight and quality of the ring I think it is still worth offering, though at a lower price, of course! That's one of the risks of emeralds, alas...they are prone to chipping....

The ring is quite hefty, yet elegant. It's crafted of solid 18K white and yellow gold. Most of the ring is 18K yellow gold, with the diamonds set in white gold. It's substantial and could really be worn by either a man or a woman.

The three natural emeralds are each approximately 3 mm in diameter and have fantastic bright classic medium grass green emerald coloring and good transparency. They are nearly clean to the naked eye and small inclusions can only be seen under magnification. These are really nice quality emeralds. each emerald is held in place with 6 prongs - 3 above and 3 below. The center emerald has just a small chip to it's edge and one of the outer emeralds has a much larger chip...where I would estimate approximately half a millimeter of the stone is missing. (I will take a detailed close up photo of this today so you can see it.) Because it's on the outside of the shoulder it isn't very noticeable when you are wearing it...but one could have this emerald replaced.

Set between each emerald are two channel set white and fiery little brilliant cut diamonds. They are really enhanced by the white gold setting. Each diamond is approximately 1.5 mm in diameter. I would estimate them to be in the G-H range of near colorless and they are completely eye-clean as well as quite clean under my loupe. Again, really nice quality.

The band is approximately 4 mm at the face - it's widest point and tapers to approximately 2.5 at it's very narrowest point. The ring weighs a hefty 4.45 grams!

The inside of the band is marked "CEI" with a little floral-like mark, as well as "18K" and "750" which is the European mark for 18K gold.

The ring is a size 7 and shows no signs of ever having been sized in the past. It could definitely be sized by a jeweler....there is plenty of gold to work with on this ring!

So, despite the damage to the emerald mentioned above, this is a really lovely and high quality ring that I think deserved another life!

Please convo me with any questions and Thanks for looking!
