This is a Virginia Pulp and Paper Company Limited Edition 1963 "American Cookery" cookbook by Amelia Simmons originally published in 1796. American Cookery was the first American written cookbook to be published in the United States.

This cookbook is filled with charming illustrations that highlight the many recipes from 150 years ago! It's 9 3/4" in length and 6" wide.

The book and book box are in great vintage condition, with just slight wear to the box with a small stain on the back of the box. There is some very slight yellowing on the pages. On the inside cover is a small envelope sticker with the previous owner's name and address.

This is just a beautiful book certainly able to delight the best of cooks!
