The colors of this yarn remind us of a golden tabby cat, with shades of gold, brown and mahogany.

This is a nice soft Corriedale yarn that has been hand dyed twice - once "in the wool" before spinning, and later "in the yarn" after spinning. The result is a lovely variegated yarn which will knit up something like the chevron pattern shown in the last photo above. We have three yarns that were all handled the same way. This yarn is the bottom of the three in the basket photo. The knit sample is from the top yarn in the basket.

This listing is for one 2-ply skein, with a total weight of 4.8 oz., spun at an average of 1530 ypp (yards per pound), a fine sport weight. The total yardage for the skein is approximately 460 yards.

Soft and spongy, this yarn wraps at 14-16.

See my Store Policy FAQs section for further knitting gauge suggestions for various yard weights and care instructions for different fibers.

My skeins are wound on a full 2-yard niddy-noddy. If you don’t have a large swift, let me know. Spun in a smoke-free, pet-friendly home.
