Jovibarba heuffelii 'Miller's Violet'
This plant has lilac-red leaf tips, and a cool, minty green center.

These plants form very tight clusters of enchanting rosettes and are generally hardy to Zone 4.

Evergreen succulent forms a mat of large rosettes in various colors with light yellow blooms in summer. 8"x12".
** Grow in full sun, in poor, gritty, well drained soil.
** Use in rock garden, wall, trough or other container.
** Hardy to -10 F. Zone 4
Native to the Balkans and So. Carpathians. Crassulaceae

This group is closely related to Sempervivum and is often referred to by the same common name, Hen and Chicks. The name Jovibarba is latin for Jupiter's Beard, apparently an ancient reference to the fringed flower petals and erect flower stalk.

Jovibarba is unusual in that it does not produce its offsets on stolons. The offsets are borne in the axils of the mother plant. Vegetative propagation is rather tricky by splitting the main stem with a sharp knife.

All plants are cutting propagated, from named but NOT patent protected varieties. This plant was grown in an organic manner. I make my own media, use organic fertilizer and refrain from chemicals.
All plants are grown with care, are fully rooted & shipped in their 4“ containers. What you see is what you get!!

Jovibarbas are always changing with the seasons. Do not be alarmed if your plant that it does not look exactly like the picture. Writing descriptions are quite difficult, it is the temperatures, and length of daylight, soil, and intensity of sun the Hens and Chicks receive dictates the colors. Afternoon shade in the hot summer months promotes longer lasting colors.

I ship plants on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday (via Priority Mail), so they don’t get stuck at the Post Office over the weekend. Orders received after 2 PM PST Tuesday will ship the following Monday.
