Bellamy style Eagle
Materials: pine, acrylic paint
This is the simple Bellamy Eagle that has a nicely weathered white finish with a faded blue and red banner in his claws. The piece measures 26" long and is 9" tall overall. The body it 3/4" thick pine with an additional piece of 3/4" pine for the head glued on and carved and blended into the whole piece.
I made this eagle in the style of a late 1800's carver, John Bellamy, who became quite famous for creating eagles for the ship building industry, and working in this dramatic style has been a favorite way for me to create these patriotic carvings.
Bellamy was a prolific carver and I have been inspired by the dramatic style to create my versions...While original ones have auctioned off for over $100,000 you can have my version for quite a bit less!!! He is available facing either right or left.
As always each of my hand carved pieces are signed and dated on the back for identification.
Can be hung outdoors since i apply a coat of clear matte sealer.
Perfect for all those who love America!!!

Amazing quality. Incredibly happy with how this turned out. Rich was able to customize the eagle for me. Fast turn around and shipping time. It was packed so carefully. Rich could really charge a lot more for his work. I can’t wait to hang this on the wall
