"This picture helps us to realize what our minds can hardly understand- the wonderful size of the universe and the immeasurable distance in space." So begins a journey of discovery in the 1928 edition of The Book of Knowledge, The Children’s Encyclopedia.

Trains going into space on their way to another universe; how cool is that? It's just breath taking to see how our perception of and interaction with the world has changed in the last 90 years.

We, you and I, love the preservation of vintage books and the pages that make them up. This wonderful book plate, The Space No Man Can Measure:Riding Forty Million Years to the Nearest Star, rescued from The Book of Knowledge.

Is waiting for you.

Whether you wish to frame it and add it to your wall décor, or use it to decoupage and/or make it a part of your personal scrapbooking history. How to fulfill its destiny is limited only by your imagination.

The patina is amazing reminding me, hopefully you as well, of simpler times, the aroma reminiscent of childhood days gone by spent in the company of grandparents that wished to impart wisdom on our blossoming intellects. The aging enriches the images on the page.

It measures 9.5 in. by 12.5 in. Please let us know if you have any other questions, or would like any additional pictures.

I will be adding more book art so please come back. ;-)
