"War Of Words In The Pumpkin Patch"
by Deborah Gregg
Phoebe, The little black cat, felt triumphant as she claimed this big orange pumpkin for her own.....but she had underestimated the garden mice. Seems as if they have also claimed this pumpkin, they're just very small and are easily overlooked. But they have remedied that and have launched a protest (using words from old news print......they give credit to Templeton for the idea!) Phoebe follows with her own and a war of words ensues. You will be happy to know they do work it out...Phoebe helps them find an even bigger pumpkin and agrees to help them guard it (she's really a sweet little thing) and all's well once again.:0) A tiny, primitive style folk art painting done with acrylics on acid free, 140 lb. watercolor paper and it is considered altered because I have used news print for their signs. Has a protective finish, signed on front and back. An aceo (Art Cards, Editions and Originals ), this piece measures a tiny 2.5" tall and 3.5" wide (image shown is larger than the actual painting). Copyright notice on piece is on digital image only, not on actual painting..~~ Have a wonderful day!~
