STAKE DESCRIPTION - FOR WHEN YOU CAN DRIVE A STAKE INTO THE GROUND
* Your stake is made with new wood to ensure a strong structure.
* It will be cut and lightly sanded, but left without a finish, so you can finish it yourself.
* As a natural wood product, it will have variations in color and texture, but that is what gives it character.
* We have stakes in lengths from 2-6 feet. (Remember - you will have to bury 1-2 feet in the ground to make the sign stand up). Message us if you need a longer length.
* They are approximately 1 1/2” x 1 1/4”

POST WITH BASE DESCRIPTION - FOR PLACES WHERE YOU CAN'T DRIVE A STAKE INTO THE GROUND
* Your post and base are made with new wood to ensure a strong structure.
* Your post and base will be cut, lightly sanded, and assembled, but left bare wood for you to finish yourself.
* As natural wood products, they will have variations in color and texture, but that is what gives them character.
* We have posts in lengths from 2-6 feet. Message us if you need a longer length.
* The posts are approximately 1 1/2” x 1 1/4”
* The base measure 18 inches across which we have found is large enough to make the posts stable without being so large that they get in the way. (Sandbags or weights can be put in the legs of the base if extra stability is required).
* Because of the size and shape of these posts and bases, they do need to be shipped separately.

* * NOTE * *
Your stake/post and base will arrive ready for you to decorate, but we do recommend sealing them when you are done to protect your creation. We use Rustoleum Clear Matte Sealant. As with most outdoor wood sealants, it should protect your project for a year or more (depending on the elements).
We would suggest resealing yearly or whenever you see any weathering. We chose Rustoleum Clear Matte Sealant because it is easy to find (most hardware stores carry it), it is inexpensive, and it is very easy to apply… just a quick spray and it is good for another year.
