My Akimba Minton elephant is named after the famous Asian elephant who lived in the National Zoo (Washington, DC) for 59 years. She was loved by several generations. I drafted this pattern about 10 years ago and decided it was time to let her out of the box and make her the center of this Log Cabin variation quilt.
She is surrounded by strips of a beige mini print and a variety of luscious florals from the Kaffe Fassett Collective of fabrics. Detailed fabric supplies are listed along with detailed assembly diagrams to keep track of the strips. I also have TWO full size templates in case you want your elephant to face East or West - your choice! This is an 8 page pdf digital pattern.

Love this pattern using Kaffe motifs from the Sunburst fabric. Simple and easy to get, just purchase,... download and print and you are all set. Instructions look simple and straight forward. Communication from seller is excellent as well. Highly recommend!!!

I will respond again when I make the quilt. Directions look very well detailed. I have taken in person classes with Debby Kratovil. Debbie is an excellent teacher. Her teaching method is why I chose to purchase this pattern. My cousin chose the Gees Bend quilt for her gift from me.
