A wonderfully detailed ceramic stein with lid depicting a group of fishermen hunting a large whale, perhaps the infamous Moby Dick. The stein is decorated in soft shades of grey and blue with pale yellow trim and hints of brown on the ship. A yellow slicker clad fisherman anchors the top of the lid.

The stein stands 14 1/2 inches tall and with the lid a total of 19 1/2 inches tall. Likely c. 1970s, I've seen others from that time period in various color palettes, but this one is so lovely with just a hint of bright yellow to make it pop. Unmarked. Excellent vintage condition, I note no cracks, and no chips on the exterior. There is one tiny small spot on the top interior rim of the stein which feels like a small fleabite or glaze bubble (manufacturers flaw).
