Complete step by step plans (Materials Not Included) With these simple step by step plans, create this incredibly sturdy, strong and attractive Garden / Park Bench from just (9) 2 x 4 x 8's!
Nothing quite adds a touch of beauty to a garden setting like a classic garden bench. Especially when it can easily be created with simple, inexpensive 2 x 4's! So many garden benches are flimsy and yet still expensive. But you can build this garden bench with ease for under $50 in materials.
Constructed completely from 2 x 4’s, the project is perfect for any level of construction expertise.
It can easily be constructed in a single afternoon, with nothing more than a measuring tape, a basic circular saw, a drill / driver, and a jigsaw or handsaw. It can’t get much easier than that!
Strong, durable and comfortable, it will hold up to the strongest of winds. And for that matter, anything else mother nature can throw at it.
The frame uses a cleated 2 x 4 system for easy-build legs that create serious strength to the piece. And the 2 x 4 frame and seating boards only add to the durability. Looks great in the garden, on the porch or patio, near a sidewalk, or anywhere you need a strong, beautiful bench.

Cute bench but the instructions need help. They show things two different ways throughout and we had to tear ours apart to fix it. Steps 5 and 6 were the worst! It shows attaching the legs on the front and back of the seat but once you do that and move on step six shows them attached to the ends. If you don’t fix it you can’t attach the back. Very frustrating. I hope the author either takes these down or fixes them. UPDATE: The shop owner contacted me and there was a mix up with uploading the correct instructions. He offered a refund and said he was uploading the correct ones. Updating to five stars because these we the most clear cut simple to follow directions I have found on the internet. Well deserving of five stars.

On the pages for step 5.0, 5.1, and 5.2 the orientation of the legs is incorrect as I see the legs are facing the wrong way. Look at the picture in step 5.2 the legs are facing the wrong way as compared to the picture in step 6.0. If I am incorrect please let me know? Thanks
