This ceramic salt pig or salt cellar is handmade of buff stoneware clay in my own studio. It is wheel thrown into a closed form. Then I trimmed by hand and cut the opening Then I smooth all the edges, to ensure there are no sharp surfaces. The spoon is hand built and holds about a half a teaspoon. The glaze is a blue green satin matte glaze. It is fired to cone 6 (2290 Deg F) in an oxidation environment, for durability.

It measures 4 inches across and 6 inches high. The opening measures 2.5 inches wide and 2 inches high. The spoon measures 4.5 inches long and 1 inch wide. The spoon holds about 1 teaspoon.
