"Out of the fae fires energy dances, twisting, curling, weaving destiny, taking chances. Whispers in the crackles, pictures in the flame, everything is different, yet it is all the same. Have a little time by our bonfire, in the chill breezes it will keep you warm. Have a little space by our fire, give you a ponder to what you desire,"

This beautiful one of a kind Cedar Wood Athame is carved from a single piece of wood. It is has an amazing natural inclusion toward the handle/grip end that looks as if it may have been part of a natural faery ring in the tree. (Visible in all pictures, but have made a close up detail to show the ring from both sides.)
After the athame was carved, wood burning was applied to really enhance the piece. The designs which work together to create a unique design are individual and different on either side. The designs are in appearance similar to flames, waves, or curls in the smokey sense. In other terms the shape and feel of this athame would be similar to a Dirk or Dagger.
measures lengthwise from tip to end at : 9 inches or 23 cm.
at it's widest part (just below the faery ring) it is: appr. 1 1/4 inch wide or appr. 3 cm.
at it's thickest part it is a bit over 1/4 inch thick.

All wares are made in the spirit of love and wanting to bring objects of art to others.
All Athames arrive with in a cloth pouch for safe keeping. (fabric varies.)
An Athame is a knife the practioners use, (Witches, Wiccans, etc.)to cut the energies around them at various times, or to draw a Circle of protection, for worship or workings. Athames are not as a rule meant for physical work, i.e. cutting herbs, cords, stirring liquids.

All Athames and wands are waxed with a soy wax for protection and slight sheen.
