This botanical art print features the mysterious Bloodroot (Sanguinaria canadensis) plant. The unique lobed leaf emerges from the forest floor in the early spring and soon the stark white multi-petaled beauty unfolds. Called bloodroot beacause the roots ooze a red substance when broken, this spring ephemeral is a treat.

This print is available in 5 x 7, 8 x 10, and 11 x 14 inch sizes. It is also available with two different styles. (Note: Blodroot is a small woodland plant, so the 5x7 print size is true to life. The larger 8x10 and 11x14 sizes can be printed, but the print will be larger than the actual flower.)
