Purim: The happiest of holidays - this mixed media collage contains miniature digitized versions of vintage israeli posters harking purim parades, and illuminated manuscripts of megillahs. Images are crafted into the shapes of the homes and buildings reminiscent of the ancient city of Shushan...where the Purim story of Esther the Queen and Evil Haman took place. Painted in shades of regal purple and gold to express the opulence and majesty of the city.

Artist vision:
This artwork is built upon a toy megillah which contains the story of Esther in Hebrew which is read on the holiday. The words of the megillah bathed in golden light symbolize the " light and happiness" that permeated the ancient city of Shushan at the end of the Purim drama.
