Highlights
Karlo Rojc Print – Yugoslav History Art – Submarine Illustration – Anti-Fascist Wall Art – Istrian Cultural Hero
This original portrait honors Karlo Rudolf Rojc, a Yugoslav national hero whose life bridged two world wars. After WWI, Rojc served as an officer aboard the submarine Smeli, symbolized here atop a sandclock — a metaphor for fleeting time and historic legacy. After his death in WWII, a former military building in Pula was renamed Karlo Rojc, now a hub for local music and art collectives.
This piece celebrates resistance, memory, and transformation — from military to culture, from war to creativity.
Format: 13×20 cm (5×8 inches)
Limited run of 100 pieces – each signed and numbered by the artist
Printed on Fabriano Carta Crea 220g, Onice tone – thick, lightly textured art paper
