Victorian hand painted brooch with gilded edges. Lovely, large red and pink peach roses are all hand painted. Painting these porcelain brooches was a lady's parlor art in the 1800's. The porcelain is set in a flat brass frame with prongs to hold it in place. This Victorian brooch has an old C clasp and nice straight pin stem, which extends beyond the brooch. It is one of the larger ones, measuring 2" x 2-3/4". In very good condition. The lovely background of blue, green and peach makes this very special.
