I am an artist and have created a booklet of sumi-e style paintings to illustrate a famous poem that is being sent around Japan after the tsunami/ earthquake 3.11. A friend who taught and lived in Japan sent me "Strong in the Rain' in March stating that this poem was circulating Japan as a positive reminder of Japan's inherent strength. I decided to illustrate the poem turning it into a small booklet to sell and try to send some money to Japan to help.

This is the second printing of the chapbook. This book has 14 pages with 28 original sumi-e style illustrations. The craft card cover is letterpress and measures 11" x 4.25". The inner pages have a deckle edge and are printed on beautiful hand pulled paper with a deckle edge. Each book is signed with my hanko and signature and is sent in a sturdy cardboard mailer.

Profits from the book will be sent to Ashinaga an organization that helps children who have lost one or both parents from a natural disaster. Ashinaga has built Rainbow houses which provide a place where children can receive grief counseling through play. Ashinaga broke ground on a new Rainbow house in Tohoku the region of the tsunami in April 2011.

Thank you for your support, Lisa
