This is an absolutely wonderful old children's reader entitled Let's Play with Fingers. Compiled by Florence Gillette Sumner. Decorations and lettering by Corina Melder-Collier. Published by Albert Whitman & Co. Copyright 1948, 1938. 126 pages. Hardback. Measures approx. 6 1/2" x 8 3/4". Wonderful b/w illustrations on every page!

"Let's Paly with Fingers is what hundreds of mothers have been looking for. Properly used, finger plays and action rhymes are psychologically sound and educationally valuable. They appeal strongly to the infant's early sense of rhythm, afford him and his mother opportunity for wholesome fun together, furnish him with an excellent background for speech. Best of all, they help to cultivate in him and early and lasting love of books."

Properly aged to perfection! Library binding. Slight wear to front and back covers and spine. Library stamp on inside front and back covers. Library pocket and bar code on last blank page. Library stamp on 2 inside pages. Excellent illustrations written on first blank page. A few spots, smudges, marks on inside pages. Lovely illustrations throughout! Sold as is.

Perfect for your book collection or stash of ephemera for collage, assemblage, mixed media, altered art, scrapbooking or card making projects!
