This early albumen print shows a gentleman reclining by the Orti Farnesiani and the Palazzo Cesarini (Palace of the Caesars) in Rome. It was taken by Roman photographer Michele Mang e C who had a studio at Piazza di Spagna 9. This carte de visite (CDV) sized photograph is mounted on board which measures 3 7/8" X 2 1/2". It was most likely taken prior to 1870.
