Rainforest Shea Butter Shampoo Bar with Coconut Oil Long Lasting Haircare

Tired of shampoos that are full of SLS and have paragraph after paragraph of unpronounceable ingredients? A shampoo bar is the perfect solution. My shampoo bars are 100% pure saponified oils and butters, with no chemical foaming agents or SLS.

Creating the "perfect" shampoo bar is a mission of mine. There are so many ingredients to choose from, each with their own attributes. This latest recipe uses one of my favorite ingredients, pure golden shea butter, as pictured above, to make a gentle, moisturizing shampoo bar, that is not too harsh to use on the body, as well. It would make a perfect all in one item to bring while traveling, no messing with 3 oz bottles of product for plane travel, just pop this huge bar, over 5 ounces, into your bag and you're ready to go.

The goods:
Olive Oil: Great for skin and haircare, since the beginning of time

Coconut Oil: This oils is great for getting hair squeaky clean, and adds great lather

Grapeseed Oil: Marvelous and fruity

Soybean Oil: Adds a light touch, avoids a heavy feel

Golden Shea Butter: Nutty and rich, this is the "gold standard" for beauty products

All of these ingredients are saponified into a hard, longlasting bar, and a scent with hints of Jasmine, Citrus, Greenery, and Air is added.

The scent is light, but lush, the scent of a rainforest after the rain; and makes a luscious scent for your hair. A great unisex scent.

Using a shampoo bar is similar to the "no-poo" method, and requires a period of adjustment for your hair. After using this method for a while, you may notice that you need to wash your hair less frequently, and you may also need an occasional Apple Cider Vinegar or baking soda rinse to restore ph balance to your hair. There is a multitude of information online on this method, or convo me with any questions!
