Vintage Taxco Bracelet - Earrings Set-Mid Century Modern -Inlaid Sterling With Snake, Fish, Turtle - 6.75 Inches

This is a wonderful bracelet and earring set by William Spratling's pupil, Victor Jaimez. The bracelet consists of six panels, each inlaid with a different adorable animal - and the big earrings match the fat fish, which is sooo cute. Victor Jaimez worked at William Spratling's Taller de Las Delicias and also for Emma Melendez.

The background is a mosaic of various gemstones, including turquoise, set into a pale background which sets off the detail of the animals perfectly. The bracelet is completely backed with sterling silver and bears the old sterling hallmark.

This will fit up to a 6.75 inch wrist. The earrings are screw-backs - if you have never worn screw-back earrings you will find them very comfortable since you can adjust them to your own earlobes whether pierced or not. I know you will love this set, which is a true Mid-century Modernist collectible.
