This was a really enjoyable activity, and made the kids (ages 6 and 4) feel a little more normal to have an activity they've done many times before. And of course, inspired over an hour of puppet show play. Thank you! We will definitely be purchasing more of these.

Rod and string puppets do not come naturally to me. Thankfully there are extensive written instructions and a link to an instructional video for us visual learners. :)
